Our Story

Rafael and Linda met in 2000 while on a class-break at Grossmont College, San Diego. During their brief encounter, Rafael shared his passion for travel and mentioned that he would love to move to Sweden. Linda, who grew up in Sweden and who had just moved to the U.S, found that amusing and gave Rafael her Swedish friend’s email address should he end up moving there. Linda and Rafael never exchanged contact information and did not see each other again until fate had their roads cross again 22 years later. This time, they met in the village of La Jolla when Linda was carrying a heavy book and Rafael stopped her in the middle of the cross-walk asking what book she was reading. Linda responded that it was a real estate book and after a moment of interaction Rafael burst out: "I know you...but I don’t know from where” Linda paused for a second and then erupted: "Grossmont College!" And the rest - as they say - is history! 

When they met again in 2022, Linda was 49 and Rafael 50. During their 22 years apart, Rafael’s dream of travel came true and over the span of 20 years, he studied and lived in a total of 11 countries - including six months in Sweden! After graduating university, Linda ended up staying in the U.S and running her own business until Covid emerged and she was forced to close the business for good.  Linda and Rafael fell deeply in love upon meeting again and knew that it was not a coincidence they had met again after so many years. In January 2023, Linda moved in with Rafael and they got married on April 20, 2024. Since they met, they never left the honeymoon phase but realized that they also had a bigger mission to fulfill, which was to assist humanity and to help creating a magical future world. They brainstormed lots of ideas for over a year and finally decided to create Project Utopia 2025 which will present ideas about what the Earth can look like in the near future when the majority of humans believe it to be possible. Rafael and Linda’s dream is to teach and travel and to inspire the youth about the incredible future that lies ahead and for them to join in the creation of it.
